30th Birthday

Yesterday was my 30th birthday! (not the second anniversary of my 29th year).  ;)

I had a very low-key day, like most birthdays.  Mc was kind enough to watch the kids while I caught up on sleep, and then he watched them again while I went out into the backyard and chopped down some of our oleander bushes.  Dang things are out of control.

I'm going to do more next weekend, but it was nice to get that much done.  Now when Baby Girl is playing in the backyard I'll actually be able to see her if she's playing near the fence!

I saw this necklace online a couple of months ago and asked Mc to get it for me for my birthday, which he did.  I think it's beautiful.

I also got a birthday card from my parents and my in-laws, and those were nice to read.  <3

Mc's birthday is next week and we're celebrating our anniversary the day after that, so we'll probably go out to dinner on one of those nights.  But this was a good birthday for me and I'm hoping it'll be a good year, too.

Little One's 1st Birthday

Little One had his 1st birthday a week ago.  We don't make a big deal about birthdays, but we still like to do something for them.  We had some friends come over and our kids enjoyed theirs.  :)  We went to the Cheesecake Factory for a birthday lunch, and cheesecake is what we gave him for his birthday cake.  :)  Here are some pictures of the day.

It was a nice little birthday for a sweet little boy.  I really do have great kids.  They're sweet, they're intelligent, and they love playing together, and they are both such happy kids.  We love them.  :)
